My name is Sarah Mcmahon. I’m from a little farm north of Hartford, SD. I just graduated from West Central High School and I will be a freshman at SDSU in the fall studying general engineering for now. I am excited about the Princeton-Gran Sasso exchange because physics has been one of my favorite subjects to study. I hope to learn a bit of info that will help me in my years of engineering study to come. I’m very excited to be able to be learning in the Gran Sasso lab. I hope to see a bit of the area as I study. I can’t wait to meet Grey and the Italian students.

Tonight’s the eve of the big trip. I know that Sarah is excited and more than a little nervous–even though she won’t admit it.
I wish the whole group well and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers as you begin this journey.
Hi Sarah,
I’m in SD thinking about you —
Thanks for keeping us updated with the journal.
I love seeing the scenary, history — and of course, the food!
It’s been raining here a little every day. . . but the sun still shines…
Take care –
